Chemours is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our growing Maintenance and Reliability Organization at our Delisle, MS location. This position plays a crucial role in providing engineering support for electrical, controls, and power distribution systems to ensure the plant operates efficiently. The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for offering technical expertise in low and medium voltage electrical distribution systems, which includes motor control centers, switchgear, and protection relays. The role also involves sizing power cables and providing engineering support for both small and large cost and capital projects. In addition to project support, the Electrical Engineer will communicate and collaborate with other internal and external engineers, providing technical guidance and reviewing electrical procedures, programs, and safe work practices. A significant aspect of this role is to support Process Safety Management (PSM) by participating in Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs) and Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSRs). Troubleshooting electrical, controls, and instrument problems is a key responsibility, as is leading Root Cause Failure Analyses (RCFAs) related to electrical and control systems. The Electrical Engineer will also provide assistance to maintenance and operations teams, evaluating equipment failures and making technical recommendations for repairs and upgrades. This position requires developing knowledge in specific equipment areas to become a subject matter expert, which includes preparing maintenance inspection and work procedures and facilitating skills development and training. The role involves initiating management of change documents to enhance safety, quality, environmental impact, or cost efficiency in the production area. Additionally, the Electrical Engineer will prepare and audit scopes of work, estimates, schedules, and equipment specifications, and review preventive maintenance plans to ensure optimal performance and frequency.
