The position is contract-to-hire, offering a pathway to permanent employment based on performance.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in industrial electrical panel wiring and debugging.
  • Ability to wire a panel from prints and schematics.
  • Experience with assembly of precision automated machinery and use of major hand tools.
  • Skilled trade degree, certification, or 2 years equivalent experience in industrial control wiring is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and ladder logic.

Responsibilities

  • Plan layout, install, and repair wiring and electrical fixtures.
  • Make measurements on control panel enclosures for cut-outs from drawings and actual component measurements under supervision.
  • Measure and install electrical cabinetry components such as DIN rail and terminal strips with supervision.
  • Drill and tap cabinets for installation of electrical components with supervisory oversight.
  • Wire devices inside control cabinets from electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Produce electrical cables with various end connections under supervision or inspection.
  • Assist with running wire, cable, and conduit from control cabinets to various devices mounted on skids.
  • Operate common electrician's hand tools and equipment with minimal training.
  • Route and install wiring on systems of skid-mounted units with minimal drawing instruction.
  • Verify proper operation of control panels after initial wiring.
  • Troubleshoot electrical problems in customer installations using logic and electrical drawings.
