This position involves supporting, contributing, and promoting a safe work environment, developing technology and processes to ensure designs are technologically competitive, and serving as the technical lead for the development of interconnect solutions. The role includes providing electrical engineering design direction and solutions to the product development team, creating electrical FEA models for RF transmission line and shielding design projects, and applying principles of electrical engineering as they pertain to connectors, contact technology, and cable design. Additionally, the position requires presenting experimental results and technical reports at group design review meetings, interpreting customer specifications, performing complex processing experiments, coordinating the construction of prototypes, and providing technical support to organizational stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Support, contribute and promote a safe work environment.
  • Develop technology and processes to ensure designs are technologically competitive.
  • Serve as the technical lead for the development of interconnect solutions.
  • Provide electrical engineering design direction and solutions to the product development team.
  • Create electrical FEA models for RF transmission line and shielding design projects.
  • Apply principles of electrical engineering as they pertain to connectors, contact technology and cable design.
  • Present experimental results and technical reports at group design review meetings as necessary.
  • Interpret customer specifications and translate them into design and/or manufacturing requirements.
  • Perform complex processing experiments, and/or lead the projects studies.
  • Coordinate the construction of functional and non-functional prototypes with internal and external vendors.
  • Provide technical support to organizational stakeholders (Production, Quality, Marketing and Sales).
  • Consult with Sales and Marketing in quoting customer requirements and bid preparation.
  • Provide electrical engineering technical support and input to the entire organization.
  • Participate and contribute to team training, development, mentoring and audits.
  • Demonstrate behaviors consistent with company policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering with 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of transmission line theory and RF design.
  • Experience in computer based finite or boundary element electrical modeling (Ansoft HFSS preferred).
  • Strong working knowledge of mechanical 3D modeling (SolidWorks preferred).
  • PCB and flex design experience.
