About the position

SRI International is seeking an Electrical Engineer/Applied Physics Researcher to join their Advanced Technology and Systems Division in Princeton, NJ. This role involves supporting various research and development activities, particularly in cyber-physical systems and quantum sensing. The researcher will collaborate with a team of applied physicists and engineers to develop proof-of-concept demonstrations for both government and commercial clients, engaging in the full cycle of design, implementation, and testing of advanced prototype systems.

Responsibilities

• Limited travel may be required to support field testing

Requirements

• BS with 1+ years experience or MS in Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, Physics or other similar disciplines
• U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain/maintain/transfer a DOD Security Clearance is required
• Competence in a lab with test/measurement equipment
• Programming for analysis, simulation, and instrumentation (MATLAB, C/C++, Python, COMSOL)
• Multi-sensor integration and control; digital and analog signal processing and filtering
• Embedded systems (microcontrollers, FPGA)
• Technical knowledge of electrical engineering principles (electronics, circuits, and electromagnetics)
• Physical and mechanical intuition
