About the position

We have an opening for an Electrical Engineer in a chemical plant in Gregory, TX. This role requires experience in power distribution and instrumentation, preferably in the petrochemical industry. The position is expected to last through July 2025, with a pay rate of $72.00 per hour and a 50% premium for overtime. There are no benefits associated with this position.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and comment on discipline engineering work performed both internally and by Contractors and sub-contractors to ensure compliance with Company specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Facilitate effective execution of discipline engineering and design routines that align with the team's goals, objectives, and procedures.
• Assure accurate and timely communication among the team and other company functions on discipline engineering activities, progress, and issues.
• Apply mathematical and engineering principles and methods to electrical system designs.
• Contribute to research efforts to develop a solution or a new product.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering specialty, or equivalent professional experience.
• Advanced knowledge of discipline design standards, specifications, codes, and appropriate safety criteria.
• Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in priorities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software programs.
• Read, write, and speak fluent English, especially as it applies to technical and business communications.
