About the position

The Electrical Engineer Intern/Co-op position at LyondellBasell Advanced Polymers Inc. is designed for students pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. This internship will commence in the Summer of 2025, providing students with hands-on experience in a professional environment. Interns will work on real-world projects, receive mentorship from experienced professionals, and have the opportunity to contribute to various engineering tasks while being treated as professionals within the company.

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot control schemes that drive processes.
• Create and refine process models for predictive control systems.
• Troubleshoot, engineer, and improve process measurement instrumentation, control systems, safety systems, and analyzers.
• Provide daily technical support for instrumentation and electrical (I&E) or control systems.
• Collaborate with electrical technicians to troubleshoot problems and perform equipment repairs.
• Continuously evaluate the electrical system and plan for expansion and reliability improvements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent degree from an accredited university.
• Overall GPA of 3.0 or greater.
• Candidates must be at least 18 years of age.
• Candidates must pass a drug screen and background check.
