About the position

The Electrical Engineer IV position at Syska Hennessy Group involves working on landmark projects globally, focusing on the design and engineering of highly technical buildings. The role requires collaboration with internal design teams and external clients, progressing from basic design tasks to more complex projects. Responsibilities

  • Create basic designs under the direction of the Senior Engineer and/or Senior Designer.
  • Develop specifications, system narratives, and system layouts for various projects.
  • Establish system application, design, and operational parameters under the direction of the Senior on the project.
  • Oversee QA/QC process for your work and the work of others.
  • Assist in determining project scheduling requirements, manpower requirements, and project budgets.
  • Perform construction administration and field investigation tasks, including conducting field inspections and detailed inspection reports.
  • Assist in processing RFIs, Change Orders, Bulletins, and Addenda.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an Accredited Institution.
  • 7 to 10 years of experience working in a consulting firm.
  • Current PE registration preferred; E.I.T./FE required.
  • Basic understanding of the practical application of LEED principles.
  • Experience with REVIT for system layout and spatial coordination.
  • Proficient in design and calculation software.
  • Experience with the latest version of AutoCAD MEP.

Nice-to-haves

  • LEED AP certification is highly preferred.
  • History of working with projects such as Federal, Healthcare, Commercial, and Mission Critical.
