The candidate would be responsible for project managing New Work Certification and Follow-Up Service related projects for the wire and cable business. Heavy customer interaction is involved and would include email communications, teams calls, as well as phone calls. Strong communication and collaboration skills are critical. Customer interactions may be face to face at the Melville site, as well as at customer facilities, as needed. Strong organizational skills are required with the candidate expected to work independently, self-manage and prioritize projects based on the estimated completion dates provided to our customers. The candidate would also support our sales function in the preparation of technical quotes to our customers. The candidate may also be called upon to support the lab function with training of newly hired technicians. The candidate would also be required to work with customers on the resolution of follow up sample testing non conformances identified as part of the UL's mark integrity program. The candidate may also be asked to participate in special developmental projects, lean operational efficiency projects and finally principal engineer related technical projects to continue their UL and technical development journey. Travel is estimated to be less than 10% of time and some of this travel may include visits to customers manufacturing facilities to perform factory with test services.
