About the position

The Solidworks Electrical Engineer will be responsible for designing and creating electrical schematics and routing using Solidworks Electrical and AutoCAD Electrical. This role requires expertise in 3D routing and 2D schematic drawing, along with a proactive approach to project work with minimal supervision. The engineer will also need to have knowledge of switchgear, wire sizing calculations, and various electrical control panel designs.

Responsibilities

• Utilize Solidworks Electrical for 3D routing and 2D schematic drawing.
• Work with AutoCAD Electrical to create 2D schematics and single line diagrams.
• Create and manage libraries in CAD tools.
• Conduct wire sizing calculations and design electrical control panels.
• Collaborate on projects with minimal input and supervision.
• Ensure compliance with international standards such as IEC and UL.
• Communicate effectively in both verbal and written English.

Requirements

• Experience with Solidworks Electrical module and 3D routing skills.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical for 2D schematic design.
• Knowledge of Variable Speed Drives (VSD) and Circuit Wiring Interconnections (CWI).
• Experience in creating libraries in CAD tools.
• Understanding of LV and MV switchgear, PLC, and automation products.
• Knowledge of electrical control panel design (PCC, MCC, PLC, and VFD panels).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in the oil and gas industry.
• Understanding of electrical or mechanical design.
