Electrical Engineer

About the position

The Electrical Engineer will work within the PLC environment to support plant operations, focusing on Ethernet-based network infrastructure and troubleshooting various process equipment. Responsibilities include drawing generation, oversight of new construction, and following design, project management, and document control standards. The role involves the specification and design of new control and instrumentation systems, development of project scopes, and maintaining proper communications, schedule, and budget tracking with supervision and management. The engineer will design control schemes, program PLC logic, troubleshoot instrumentation and control system problems, and assist instrument technicians in troubleshooting and setup of equipment. Additionally, the engineer will create and maintain process documentation, control specification documents, and provide technical training and supervision of processes, while also engaging in ongoing process improvement efforts and identifying production issues and bottlenecks.

Responsibilities

• Support plant operations within the PLC environment.
• Support Ethernet-based network infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and provide installation support for actuated valves, instruments, and various process equipment.
• Oversee drawing generation and new construction.
• Follow design, project management, and document control standards.
• Specify and design new control and instrumentation systems.
• Develop project scopes and maintain communication, schedule, and budget tracking.
• Design control schemes and strategies in collaboration with process engineers.
• Program PLC logic and graphical HMI software.
• Troubleshoot instrumentation and control system problems.
• Assist instrument technicians in troubleshooting and setup of equipment.
• Create and maintain process documentation.
• Maintain control specification documents and instrumentation data sheets.
• Create and maintain control documents and process control procedures.
• Provide technical training and supervision of processes.
• Engage in ongoing process improvement efforts.
• Identify production issues and bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with purchasing, vendors, maintenance, contractors, and operators to complete projects.
• Complete any other tasks as directed by management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering preferred.

Benefits

• Salary range of $126,000 to $155,000.
