We are looking for a Electrical Engineering Manager out of our Paducah, KY location who is responsible for general management and decision making concerning overall electrical systems for vessel and power grids for facilities.
Managing the direction of the Engineering department along with electrical and controls needs of the vessels and facilities.
Analytical and problem solving.
Maintaining a high level of safety support, specifically through safety observations, evaluations, and audits.
Maintaining a knowledge of current and new technologies.
Assuring proper documentation of electrical work done.
Sourcing parts for projects and overhauls/supervises daily shore side or running vessel repairs.
Coordinating and directing vendors and Ingram associates during the process of electrical repair or install.
Experience with installation of automated control processes of electrical and mechanical equipment.
Maintaining logs, records, drawings and other documents.
Reviewing invoices from overhauls and general electrical repair.
Assuring essential documentation from vessel repairs are maintained.
Helping with training of chief and junior engineers.
A high level of knowledge of vessel and facility systems is required for this position.
Electrical Engineering Degree required.
PE License required, or ability to obtain.
NFPA70 and NFPA70E preferred, or ability to obtain.
Exceptional people skills are also required prior to, during and after the project to assure customer satisfaction is maintained at a high level.
Ability to manage vendors, processes across multiple areas.
Must be able to organize and prioritize large amounts of information and use information to align with customer service, operations and engineering regulatory and company specifications.
Possess ability to cross functionally work with multiple department representatives to achieve common goals.
Must have the physical ability to transit all work environments for vessel and facility docks (i.e. lifting, climbing, confined spaces, maneuver hazardous areas).
Able to work in extreme weather conditions.
Walking on uneven surfaces.
Traveling to other facilities.
On-call 24 hours/day.
