About The Position

The Electrical Instructor is responsible for delivering comprehensive instruction in electrical programs, guiding students in their academic and professional development, and ensuring the successful execution of the school's educational objectives. This part-time role involves creating lesson plans, maintaining student records, and fostering a positive learning environment.

Requirements

• 3 years of verifiable experience directly related to residential, commercial, or industrial electrical work, alarm systems, control systems, or a combination of these areas.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for comprehensive course instruction within specified program areas.
• Provide active input in course development including course descriptions, syllabus creation, and textbook material review.
• Create and revise daily lesson plans.
• Attend in-service training and continuing education seminars for professional growth.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance and academic progress.
• Create a classroom environment that fosters academic growth and professional development.
• Keep the Department of Education apprised of student progress, especially concerning performance trends.
• Provide extra help to students experiencing difficulty with coursework.
• Advise students on minor issues affecting educational progress and refer major issues to the Program Director.
• Correct and return quizzes, tests, and lab assignments within 48 hours.
• Utilize instructional and audiovisual aids in the online environment.
• Arrange guest speakers, field trips, and community service events for students.
• Report damaged or malfunctioning equipment to the Program Director.
• Submit grades within 48 hours of the end of the term.
