About the position

The Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer (E&I) at Veolia Water Technologies & Solutions is responsible for delivering custom water and wastewater treatment systems to industrial and municipal customers. This role involves working within a multi-disciplinary team to ensure design accuracy, timely submittals, budget adherence, and compliance with quality procedures. The E&I engineer will generate and approve various engineering documents, support vendor selection, and maintain project schedules while serving as a technical contact for customers.

Responsibilities

  • Develop engineering deliverables for water/wastewater treatment systems.
  • Generate, check, or approve Process & Instrument Diagrams, single line diagrams, and I/O lists.
  • Design power distribution systems and control system architecture (PLC/DCS).
  • Support vendor selection and equipment procurement, managing vendor documents.
  • Maintain knowledge of local and national electrical codes and requirements.
  • Participate in project status updates, design reviews, and installation support.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering in water treatment, oil & gas, chemical, or power fields.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Control Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer's License or ability to obtain one within 1 year (preferred).
  • Experience with SAP and hazardous location classification/technologies.
  • Experience with Motor Control Center (MCC) design and low/medium voltage power distribution system design.
  • Working knowledge of design standards (NEC, UL508A, CSA).
  • Impeccable planning, organization, and time management skills.
  • Clear and concise communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with cable tray design and cable routing.
  • Strong focus on customer relationships.
