About the position

The Electrical & Instrumentation Technician at Elanco is responsible for maintaining electrical equipment assets in Animal Health production areas. This role involves providing E&I support on all manufacturing and mechanical equipment within Operations and Utilities, performing predictive and preventative maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on both low and medium voltage electrical and instrumentation assets.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a safe work environment by following all safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work area and participate in the HSETRACK EVENT program.
  • Maintain 100% compliance on individual Learning Plan and improve craft skills.
  • Display flexibility with work schedule to meet business needs and maintain good attendance.
  • Process work orders in SAP EAM thoroughly and accurately.
  • Communicate effectively with operations and customers to set expectations and follow up on jobs.
  • Integrate SOPs into daily operations and correct discrepancies in documentation.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Industrial experience with 13.2kV distribution voltage, 4160V, 480/277V and 208/120V utilization voltage.
  • Experience with transformers, MV switches, MV switchgear, MV contactors, relays, and AC/DC motors.
  • Ability to read and redline electrical schematics and work independently or as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills, along with strong computer skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Qualified Electrical Worker certification per NFPA 70E.
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in an Industrial Electrical Field of study.
