Are you ready to design your future? Be our next Electrical Intern! In this role, you will be a part of the Oil and Gas & Chemical team, based in the Houston office.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with strategic projects that contribute to research and business goals, enhancing skills and amplifying education.
  • Support the design and analysis of electrical systems for oil, gas, and chemical facilities.
  • Collaborate with lead engineers on various project tasks, such as correcting and updating designs, and performing standard engineering techniques and procedures.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts by collecting and analyzing data, and presenting solutions to project concerns.
  • Conduct research to find solutions to project concerns and recommend improvements.
  • Assist with ad hoc projects as assigned by managers.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Chemical, Mechanical, Petroleum, or related engineering disciplines.
  • Solid CAD design skills with AutoCAD and SolidWorks, or willingness to learn.
  • Proficiency with Navisworks.
  • Knowledge in electrical engineering fundamentals, such as mechanics of material, welding, heat transfer, process and instrumentation diagrams.

Nice-to-haves

  • Shop drawings and fabrication experience is definitely an asset.
