About The Position

The position involves troubleshooting and maintaining blending and packaging equipment in a manufacturing environment. The role requires a strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, as well as the ability to perform preventive maintenance and repairs to ensure minimal downtime and efficient operation of plant equipment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in manufacturing.
• Basic electrical circuit knowledge.
• Ability to read/interpret blueprints.
• Ability to work in hot/cold environments.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Prior maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to work overtime.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting blending and packaging equipment; determining electrical or mechanical failures; utilizing PLCs, VFDs, controllers, motors, and HMIs.
• Performing set up, adjustments, troubleshooting, timing, replacement, and programming of electrical equipment using ladder logic, electrical prints, and/or schematics.
• Maintaining equipment and resolving issues in a timely manner to reduce downtime.
• Dismantling, inspecting, and rebuilding electrical assemblies to ensure conformance to specifications or requirements.
• Calibrating, tuning, addressing problems, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment.
• Utilizing low voltage, PLC programs.
• Supporting overall plant equipment such as blending systems, filtering systems, centrifuges, pumps, valves, pneumatics, heat exchangers, etc.
• Responsible for changeovers, general maintenance, and inspecting production lines for proper setup before running; monitoring and maintaining equipment for accurate operation.
• Utilizing CMMS programs.
• Occasionally welding (MIG/TIG) and fabricating.
