ELECTRICIAN HOURLY

About the position

The Electrician position at JBS USA involves maintaining and servicing electrical systems throughout the plant, ensuring optimal performance and safety. The role requires troubleshooting electrical supply and controls, performing installations and repairs, and providing training to operators and mechanics. The Electrician will also document equipment settings and advise management on best practices for optimization.

Responsibilities

• Upkeep and service on the electrical systems used throughout the plant.
• Perform preventative maintenance work orders and repair work orders as requested.
• Document and record setting of equipment as needed.
• Assist in troubleshooting and maintenance of any other equipment as directed by maintenance management.
• Provide training to both operators and mechanics to ensure correct operation and maintenance of equipment.
• Attend training as required by the company.
• Advise management on best practices/optimization.

Requirements

• Must be a Licensed Journeyman Electrician or higher/able to obtain a Statement of Michigan Journeyman Electrical License or higher.
• 2 years Industrial Electrical Experience.
• Knowledge of NEC.
• Knowledgeable in all aspects of the electrical field.
• Knowledgeable of 460 volt, 277 volts, 120 volts and 24 volts AC or DC.
• Knowledgeable with motors and motor controls and circuits.
• Basic knowledge of Allen-Bradley programmable logic controllers ability's to troubleshoot inputs and outputs.
• Basic knowledge of VFD's.
• Knowledge of lighting and emergency lighting.
• Ability to work on a ladder or lift.
• Ability to read and use electrical schematics in troubleshooting equipment failure.
