About the position

Dart Container is seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician to join our team and ensure smooth operations. The position involves maintaining, installing, and repairing equipment and electrical systems within the facility. The role requires expertise in various electrical systems and the ability to diagnose and resolve issues effectively.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, install, and repair equipment, electrical systems and facility electrical systems.
• Utilize electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics, and temperature and pressure gauges.
• Maintain and utilize maintenance systems for work orders, breakdown reporting and track machine modifications.
• Diagnose malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, and light fixtures. Replace damaged or broken components.
• Utilize Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) proficiently, employing basic and ladder logic to interpret and modify wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints for accurate problem diagnosis.

Requirements

• Five (5) years of hands-on experience in diagnosing and repairing electrical equipment or machinery, or an equivalent combination of trade school or training.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read/write wiring diagrams, schematics and blueprints and analytical diagnosis of problems.
• Ability to program Programmable Logic Controllers using basic and ladder logic.
• Thorough understanding of National Electrical Code (NEC).
• Advanced knowledge of electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics, and temperature and pressure gauges.
• Advanced knowledge of industrial controls and instrumentation.
