About The Position

The principal function of this position is to repair, install, and maintain electrical systems and equipment in the District, maintaining parts inventory, inspecting electrical systems and fixtures; diagnosing malfunctioning systems and ensuring all facilities are operating safely and effectively. The work is performed in accordance with specifications and electrical code. This position regularly performs tasks wherever needed to maintain effective and efficient facilities and operations. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Maintenance Foreman. The principal duties of this class are performed in indoor and outdoor environments, sometimes performing physically demanding and hazardous duties associated with electrical systems, and occasionally dealing with adverse conditions in an outdoor environment. Driving to and from various district locations is required.

Requirements

• Must have a Journeyman Electrician License.
• Knowledge of three phase power supply.
• Best methods and practices for the installation and repair of electrical systems.
• Ability to read blueprints and electrical diagrams.
• Familiarity with building electrical codes and OSHA safety codes.
• High school diploma or GED equivalency.
• Previous electrician experience.
• Valid Idaho Drivers License with a clean driving record.
