About The Position

The Electronic Warfare (EW) Engineer position at Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) involves supporting the USAF Warfare Center's Angry Kitten Electronic Attack Pod reprogramming. This role is critical in providing engineering and data analysis expertise in a fast-paced environment, focusing on the integration of electronic warfare systems for training and testing activities. The engineer will be responsible for creating realistic threat training environments and maintaining knowledge of adversary tactics to enhance training effectiveness.

Requirements

  • 3+ years' experience on an engineering team.
  • Knowledge and experience with RF spectrum, radar systems, electronic attack systems, electronic support systems, and electronic protection.
  • Ability to process and analyze data, assess system performance, and generate report quality data products.
  • Comfortable operating in a dynamic environment with rapidly changing requirements.
  • Ability to articulate effectively across engineering, operations, and management communities.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with current DoD aircraft Electronic Warfare systems.
  • Experience with fixed or mobile ground-based Electronic Warfare systems.
  • Knowledge of AESA radar systems and signal analysis.
  • Experience working on a flight line.
  • Modeling EA algorithms and developing analytical tools for Mission Data development.
  • Programming experience with MATLAB/Simulink, Python, VBA, and/or C++.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Electronic Warfare (EW) engineering and data analysis expertise for the Angry Kitten Electronic Warfare systems integration.
  • Build and present realistic threat training environments and prepare briefings and documentation.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of US and potential adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
  • Provide After Action Report (AAR) inputs to assess the effectiveness of Electronic Attack (EA) and Electronic Protection (EP) techniques.
  • Utilize EW engineering experience to support test and training objectives through programming techniques.
  • Collect, document, and analyze data from EW source and victim systems to iterate advanced techniques.
  • Support the build and delivery of materials for mission partner test and training planning, execution, and debriefing.
