About the position

The Electronics Technician is responsible for pre-installation product configuration, assembly of patient monitors, manufacturing of products and occasionally repairing defective or damaged products. This role involves ensuring the timely and accurate configuration of capital equipment, manufacturing of NKA equipment, and repair of defective or damaged products for some Nihon Kohden product lines. The technician must accurately document configuration, calibration, assembly, and repair of work performed, while staying technically current with all Nihon Kohden PM product lines. Additionally, the technician is expected to establish and maintain effective working relations, communication, and coordination with company personnel and management, assist technical support personnel as needed, and keep management informed of area activities and any significant problems. Adherence to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes is essential, and duties may be modified or assigned at any time based on business need.

Responsibilities

  • Timely and accurate configuration of capital equipment.
  • Manufacturing of NKA equipment.
  • Repair of defective or damaged products for Nihon Kohden product lines.
  • Accurate documentation of configuration, calibration, assembly, and repair work performed.
  • Stay technically current with all Nihon Kohden PM product lines.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relations and communication with company personnel and management.
  • Assist technical support personnel as needed.
  • Keep management informed of area activities and significant problems.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience with medical device configuration or assembly/repair; or experience with computer repairs or configuration; or assembly and calibration of electronic devices.
  • Experience in biomedical electronic or other technical discipline contributing to the maintenance and repair of clinical equipment/devices preferred.
  • Knowledge of electronic, electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic principles preferred.
  • Computer configuration experience preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of MS Office suite and other related applications.
  • Experience in biomedical electronic or other technical discipline contributing to the maintenance and repair of clinical equipment/devices preferred.
