About the position

The New Plymouth School District is seeking a dedicated and passionate Elementary Special Education Teacher with an Early Childhood Endorsement to join our team. This full-time position is designed for educators who are committed to providing a supportive and inclusive learning environment for students with diverse needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of special education practices and be able to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) effectively. The teacher will work closely with students, parents, and other educators to ensure that each child receives the necessary support to thrive academically and socially. In this role, the teacher will be responsible for developing and delivering engaging lesson plans tailored to the unique learning styles of students with disabilities. The teacher will also assess student progress, modify instructional strategies as needed, and collaborate with other professionals to create a comprehensive support system for students. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field.
  • Early Childhood Endorsement is required.
  • Strong understanding of special education laws and practices.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
