About the position

The Email Marketing Specialist at TruGreen is responsible for both the technical execution and creative development of email marketing campaigns. This role involves identifying target audiences, designing and executing email campaigns, ensuring that content is clear and error-free, and analyzing campaign metrics to gauge effectiveness. The specialist will collaborate with various teams, including Content and Compliance, to ensure that brand messaging is consistent and compliant, thereby enhancing customer communication through email channels. The position shapes strategy and executes campaigns that align with the company's marketing goals. In this role, the Email Marketing Specialist will produce and execute email campaigns, which includes building emails from templates and HTML, copywriting, light design work, and asset coordination. They will support various strategic program sends via manual and triggered campaigns across the customer lifecycle, including prospecting, nurturing, and win-back efforts. The specialist will also manage and execute the email marketing calendar, ensuring alignment with internal stakeholders and business priorities. Additionally, the specialist will plan, execute, and report back on A/B tests to inform future planning and program optimizations. They will update and maintain email program documentation and perform quality assurance to ensure proper rendering and near-flawless campaign execution. Regularly identifying trends and email marketing strategies from leading global brands will be essential to glean insights on best practices and innovative ideas. The role also involves supporting the management of agency relationships and email prospecting efforts, including the routing of creative assets and the overarching strategy for automating marketing processes such as segmentation, drip campaigns, SMS, and behavioral triggers for new leads. Collaboration with other marketing teams, such as social media and paid advertising, is crucial to ensure a cohesive, cross-channel marketing approach for lead nurture and acquisition.

Responsibilities

  • Produce and execute email campaigns, including building emails from templates and HTML, copywriting, light design work, and asset coordination
  • Support various strategic program sends via manual and triggered campaigns across the customer lifecycle including prospecting, nurturing, win-back, etc.
  • Collaborate with content teams to create personalized and engaging content that resonates with target audiences
  • Manage and execute email marketing calendar and ensure alignment with internal stakeholders and business priorities
  • Plan, execute, and report back on A/B tests to inform future planning and program optimizations
  • Update and maintain email program documentation
  • Perform QA to ensure proper rendering and near flawless campaign execution
  • Regularly identify trends and email marketing strategies from other leading global brands to glean insights on best practices and new innovative ideas

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, economics, or a related field
  • Proven experience (3+ years) in email marketing, with hands-on experience building email
  • Proficiency with marketing automation tools such as Marketo, HubSpot, Pardot, or similar platforms; Microsoft Dynamics is a plus
  • Detailed knowledge of email regulations and best practices
  • Experience in engaging and analyzing the performance of a large email marketing database
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving and exceeding lead acquisition and nurturing goals
  • Clear communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Experience establishing and maintaining relationships across teams and at all levels with both internal stakeholders and external partners
  • Ability to identify operational gaps/opportunities and implement solutions
  • Curious and analytical thinker, who loves formulating questions and seeking answers
  • Strong technical acumen and core understanding of marketing functions/systems
