About The Position

The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) role involves responding to both non-emergent and emergent medical transportation requests, providing emergency and non-emergency care in a pre-hospital environment, and ensuring safe and efficient patient transport to appropriate facilities or residences. This part-time position requires adherence to state laws and protocols while maintaining a professional demeanor with patients and healthcare staff.

Requirements

• One (1) year experience as an Emergency Medical Technician preferred.
• Verification of an acceptable motor vehicle driving record at time of hire, with annual verification required thereafter.
• Required Licenses: BLS - EMT, Valid Driver's License.
• Required Certifications: EMT-B - Emergency Medical Technician Basic.

• MA DRIVERS - Massachusetts Drivers License
• Emergency Medical Technician-Advanced OR Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to non-emergent and emergency calls as directed by the dispatcher.
• Complete documentation and records according to department policy.
• Ensure vehicle and equipment readiness for response at all times.
• Render pre-hospital care at EMT-B level, performing patient assessments and BLS skills.
• Assist in the Emergency Department under the supervision of ED physicians.
• Maintain good working relationships with fellow employees and community emergency service providers.

Benefits

• Pay range of $21.00-$29.41 per hour with eligibility for shift differentials.
