As an Emerging Store Manager at Walgreens, you will play a pivotal role in supervising customer service associates and designated hitters while managing the front end of the store. Your responsibilities will include making recommendations on the overall operations of both the Pharmacy and Retail Store. You will support the Store Manager in achieving company deliverables and will work an alternate schedule with minimal overlap with the Store Manager. In the absence of the Store Manager, you will assume full responsibility for all store activities, ensuring proper merchandising, protecting store assets, and driving improvements in store sales and profitability. In this role, you will lead and manage store team members, which includes recruitment, hiring, performance management, and discipline of direct reports. Your leadership will ensure that team members are engaged and effectively performing their responsibilities to meet company goals. You will engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services, resolving complaints in a timely manner to ensure a positive customer experience. You will also monitor customer service metrics and provide coaching and training to develop plans for improvement. Operationally, you will supervise the store's daily activities, including assigning tasks, managing schedules, and ensuring proper team member coverage. You will collaborate with external partners to enhance store operations and identify community outreach opportunities. Additionally, you will oversee cash management, inventory control, and ensure compliance with company policies and applicable laws. Your analytical skills will be essential as you independently analyze financial and performance data to create action plans that support business deliverables. You will be responsible for leading and training team members, providing mentoring and coaching to enable their career development. This includes managing performance, setting goals, and ensuring a diverse pipeline of future leaders. You will also complete the Store Manager learning and development program and maintain a valid pharmacy technician license as required by state regulations. Communication will be key, as you will regularly engage with team members to ensure open lines of communication and assist the Store Manager in planning and communicating store strategies.
