About the position

The Employee Benefits Account Coordinator at Consolidated Employer Services (CES) is a pivotal role designed for a dedicated professional who will serve as the primary benefits subject matter expert for a designated portfolio of clients. This position is integral to ensuring that clients receive exceptional service regarding their employee benefits, particularly during open enrollments and renewals. The coordinator will be responsible for managing client inquiries, providing guidance on benefits-related issues, and ensuring that all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and efficiently. The role requires a highly organized individual capable of juggling multiple priorities while maintaining strong relationships with clients. In this position, the Employee Benefits Account Coordinator will confirm the accurate completion of benefits paperwork using various systems, including FormFire and Ease. They will support client employees as they navigate qualifying benefit enrollment changes throughout the plan year. The coordinator will also be expected to respond to client inquiries in a courteous and professional manner, effectively handling both routine and complex issues while demonstrating patience and empathy. Problem-solving skills are essential, as the coordinator will need to identify areas for process improvement throughout the benefits lifecycle. The ideal candidate will possess a strong customer service orientation, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with clients and team members. This role is not only about managing benefits but also about fostering long-term relationships and ensuring that clients feel supported and informed throughout their experience with CES. The Employee Benefits Account Coordinator will also be expected to perform other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the benefits team and the organization as a whole.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the main point of contact for a portfolio of clients who have opted into employee benefits through CES.
  • Confirm the accurate completion of necessary benefits paperwork and use a variety of systems such as FormFire and Ease.
  • Work to build long-term positive relationships with clients.
  • Support client employees as qualifying benefit enrollment changes happen throughout the plan year.
  • Support the other benefits team members as needed.
  • Respond to clients in a polite and courteous manner, calmly and effectively handling routine and complex issues for customers while projecting patience and empathy.
  • Problem solve quickly and efficiently throughout the entire benefits life cycle and identify areas of improvement for the process as necessary.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent of education and experience.
  • 1 - 3 Years of Experience required.
  • Ability to form effective partnerships with clients and establish rapport with others while fostering team spirit and cooperation.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and provide timely and accurate information.
  • Must have excellent grammar skills for composing a variety of written communication.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and work effectively with different constituents and employees of all levels and from diverse backgrounds with empathy, care, and sincerity in voice, tone, and words.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Ability to maintain a positive environment, treat others with respect, and demonstrate empathy while performing within stressful situations.
  • Ability to support the Client Services team by following policies and procedures, completing tasks accurately and consistently, working with integrity, and upholding the organization's goals and values.
  • Ability to handle and maintain confidential and/or sensitive information with proper care and discretion.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize them accordingly.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
  • Proficient in the use of the internet and HRIS.
