About the position

Brown & Brown is seeking an Employee Benefits Account Coordinator to join our Employee Benefits team in Doral, Florida. This position is designed for self-starters who are committed to providing the best service for our customers. The Employee Benefits Account Coordinator will work closely with the Employee Benefits Client Account Managers, Producers, and the Employee Benefits Marketing Representative to service both new and existing accounts, ensuring that we meet our Agency sales goals and service standards. In this role, you will assist in analyzing insurance exposures and account summaries, which is crucial for understanding the needs of our clients. You will need to be proficient in the available carrier rating systems that are provided for Agency use, as this will help you in developing a good working knowledge of our company’s underwriting philosophies and appetites. Additionally, you will review policies, endorsements, audits, and quotations prepared by our carriers for accuracy and completeness, ensuring that all documentation is correct and meets our standards. You will also play a key role in resolving any omitted items and commission differences when necessary, keeping the Client Account Manager informed of any service problems that may arise. Utilizing agency automation with a high level of knowledge and proficiency is essential, as you will be responsible for processing incoming mail for the account and following procedures as established by management. Furthermore, pursuing a program of personal and professional development is encouraged, and other duties may be assigned as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in analyzing insurance exposures and account summaries.
  • Be proficient in available carrier rating systems where provided for Agency use.
  • Develop a good working knowledge of company underwriting philosophies and appetites.
  • Review policies, endorsements, audits, and quotations prepared by our carriers for accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist in resolving omitted items and commission differences when necessary.
  • Keep the Client Account Manager informed of any service problems.

Requirements

  • At least two years of insurance experience.
  • Completion and or evidence of skills as outlined by Commercial Management.
  • High School Degree.
  • Professional demeanor, with excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
