As an Employee Benefits Coordinator at GCC, you will play a crucial role in managing the administration of benefits, wellness, and leave programs. This position involves overseeing the Affordable Care Act (ACA) administration and annual reporting, which includes running ACA process reports from the Dayforce Benefits module, auditing to identify errors, and correcting them as necessary. You will be responsible for processing ACA 1095-Cs, auditing for accuracy, and distributing them annually by federal deadlines. Additionally, you will review IRS ACA SSN error reports, identify, and correct dependent SSNs, ensuring compliance with federal regulations. Your responsibilities will extend to the administration of GCC's benefit programs, which encompass medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and supplemental plans, as well as accommodation requests and leaves of absence. You will monitor the Dayforce Benefit enrollment system to ensure accurate enrollments and manage seasonal employee benefits by conducting monthly audits to verify that deductions and earnings are correct in payroll. Furthermore, you will oversee the company HSA match program, ensuring that new hires receive their HSA lump sum after 90 days, and assist the payroll team with troubleshooting any HSA funding errors. In this role, you will also assist employees with life events and special enrollments, ensuring that annual benefit Summary Plan Descriptions (SPDs) are accurate and accessible to employees in the benefits portal. You will be responsible for retirement plan administration, including the 401(k) and pension plans, responding to auditors' requests for data related to the annual 5500 audit, and assisting retirees with questions or issues related to pension benefits. Your participation in vendor management activities will include day-to-day oversight, regular status calls, and process improvement initiatives. You will collaborate with Ceridian consultants to configure and test the Dayforce Benefits portal for successful open enrollment and assist in wellness plan administration and employee support. Handling complex claims issues will also be part of your duties, where you will escalate issues to carriers as needed. You will manage the reconciliation of all benefits invoices against employee payroll contributions to ensure accuracy, conduct monthly audits of benefits, and prepare monthly carrier self-billing for life, disability, and supplemental insurance. Additionally, you will coordinate and facilitate compliance-related matters in partnership with external vendors, including the completion of Form 5500s, ACA filings, annual audits, and non-discrimination testing. Supporting the annual benefits Open Enrollment process will involve working with vendors and brokers to manage employee communications, prepare benefit plan materials, coordinate timelines, and address employee questions. You will partner with internal stakeholders such as Payroll, HR Service Center, HR Leaders, HR Business Partners, and Finance on leave administration, renewals, benefit program implementations, mergers & acquisitions, and other areas related to benefits administration. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
