About The Position

The End User Computing Engineer role is a long-term contract position within the insurance industry, focused on managing endpoints through MCM/SCCM. The engineer will be responsible for software distribution, patch deployment, operating system deployment, and maintaining hardware/software inventory, ensuring endpoint security and performance.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the insurance industry
• Proficiency in SCCM and System Center Configuration Manager
• Demonstrated experience in applying patches and patch management
• Expertise in application deployments, automated deployment, and deployment automation
• Competency in software deployment
• Proficiency in hardware and software installation
• Experience in hardware configuration and hardware installation
• Knowledge of hardware security
• Understanding of network vulnerability, vulnerability analysis, and vulnerability assessment
• Familiarity with BitLocker, endpoint protection, and endpoint security
• Relevant certifications and education in related fields are preferred
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

Responsibilities

• Utilize MCM/SCCM for efficient endpoint management
• Oversee software distribution through MCM/SCCM
• Conduct patching and deployment of patches to ensure system security and performance
• Handle operating system deployment using MCM/SCCM
• Maintain an inventory of hardware/software assets
• Implement vulnerability management and endpoint security supporting BitLocker drive encryption across end-user devices
• Analyze network vulnerabilities and take necessary actions to mitigate risks
• Install and configure hardware as per the requirements
• Manage automated deployment and application deployments
• Ensure endpoint protection and security through continuous assessment and updates.
