Our Energy Engineering Graduate Training Program is designed for recent graduates who are eager to embark on a rewarding career in Energy Engineering. This 15-week rotational program offers participants the opportunity to learn from industry experts and gain hands-on experience in various aspects of energy engineering. Throughout the program, you will engage in practical, in-person learning experiences at multiple company locations, where you will hear about real-world projects from Trane Technologies leaders and complete meaningful assignments that contribute to your professional development. As a participant in this program, you will develop the skills and confidence necessary to thrive as a full-time Energy Engineer in your local sales office. You will be involved in analyzing and assessing the economic impacts of utility company rate structures, conducting preliminary and detailed audit scope analyses, and identifying energy conservation measures in commercial, institutional, and industrial facilities. Additionally, you will assist with energy simulation models and provide routine consultations to clients, helping them optimize their facilities and improve their energy efficiency. Responsibilities

  • Travel to multiple company locations for practical, in-person learning experiences related to Energy Engineering.
  • Analyze and assess the economic impacts of utility company rate structures and supply side options.
  • Qualify client and opportunity, and layout preliminary and detailed audit scope analysis.
  • Perform building walk-throughs and identify energy conservation measures in various facilities.
  • Assist with energy simulation models utilizing fundamental HVAC principles.
  • Provide routine consultations to clients regarding energy use, building operations, and technical support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably in Energy, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
  • U.S. citizenship or legal right to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship.
  • Valid driver's license for a minimum of 12 months with proof of insurance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience or coursework related to energy efficiency and HVAC systems.
  • Familiarity with energy simulation software and building energy modeling.
