About the position

The Energy Management Consultant (Strategic Energy Management Coach) at Cascade Energy is responsible for guiding and implementing Strategic Energy Management (SEM) initiatives for utility and industrial clients. This role focuses on fostering customer engagement, providing training, and continuously improving SEM processes. The consultant will collaborate with clients to design and deliver energy efficiency programs, ensuring effective communication and relationship-building with large industrial utility customers.

Responsibilities

  • Guide and implement existing and new SEM efforts for utility and industrial clients.
  • Foster customer engagement and provide training and delivery of services to clients.
  • Contribute to RFPs and collaborate with clients to propose, design, and deliver SEM efforts.
  • Engage with participants and utility clients to review and understand energy performance results.
  • Provide professional workshop trainings and onsite delivery to participants.
  • Track and report on energy performance results.
  • Work with utility clients to continuously improve SEM efforts targeted at industrial and commercial participants.
  • Deliver workshops to industrial and commercial clients, both one-on-one and in groups.
  • Collaborate with the SEM team to enhance SEM processes and integrate them into other work.
  • Work with the Gazebo software team to build SEM elements into existing Energy Information systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in Strategic Energy Management (SEM), demand-side management, or energy efficiency.
  • Exposure to continuous improvement frameworks such as Lean, Six Sigma, or ISO 50001.
  • Hands-on experience in an industrial setting or with industrial clients.
  • Previous experience in project management, management coaching, or consulting.
