Fractal Analytics is seeking an experienced Senior Decision Scientist to lead client projects in Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM) specifically for the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) sector. This position is pivotal in maintaining, tuning, and upgrading existing models while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful data and modeling deployment. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of data science within the CPG industry and have a strong background in MMM. This role is situated within our CPG practice and reports directly to the MMM Client Delivery Lead at Fractal. As we continue to deliver services in Revenue Growth Management (RGM) to our clients, this position is designed to accelerate the setup and scale of that journey. The successful candidate will engage, influence, and inspire a wide variety of stakeholders internally, including teams from AI, Engineering, and Design, to drive collaboration and alignment. In this role, you will lead technical and business discussions with customers, focusing on key performance indicators (KPIs), metrics, data science, and data engineering. You will manage customer relationships and oversee proof of value (PoV) project management. Additionally, you will conduct user and stakeholder workshops to showcase results and provide an overview of model functionality. Leading a small group of data scientists and analysts, you will streamline data science work with product design, develop solution frameworks, and present insights. Your responsibilities will also include data wrangling and exploration to extract insights, maintaining and refining the data science engine, performing descriptive analysis, and building visualizations to help customers understand the drivers of their business metrics. Moreover, you will conduct research and prototype innovations, gather data and requirements, scope solutions, and consult clients on advanced statistical and machine learning problems. Collaboration with different functional teams, including engineering and product development, will be essential to implement models and monitor outcomes. You will work closely with engineering and design teams, as well as MMM/CPG leadership, to develop product requirements and user stories. Leading the collaboration with data engineering teams, you will ensure a smooth transition from data science development to industrialization by providing necessary support. Your role will also involve planning code development and redevelopment, enforcing proper coding standards, and ensuring comprehensive documentation and strong code management through version control. Regular code reviews with the data scientist project lead will be part of your responsibilities, ensuring a common code base for efficient rollout in new markets with a highly modular architecture, well-designed data abstraction, and high configurability.
