About the position

The position involves ensuring the software testing of Electric Powertrain ECUs, with a focus on hardware in loop (HIL) testing. The candidate will be responsible for automating test cases on HIL using relevant tools and scripts, and will have an overview of VCU, BMS, MCU, and OBC-DCDC interfaces and their impact. The role includes functional and diagnostic testing of Electric Powertrain ECUs, leading the commissioning of HiL hardware/software, and coordinating with various stakeholders both internal and external. As part of the System HiL team, the candidate will ensure alignment and implement software testing timelines in line with project timelines, lead cross-functional activities, and collaborate with the leadership team as needed. Knowledge of Electric Vehicle Systems in HIL validation and high voltage systems is also required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the Software testing of Electric Powertrain ECUs.
• Hands on knowledge in hardware in Loop (HIL) testing.
• Automation of test cases on HIL with relevant tools & script.
• Overview of VCU, BMS, MCU & OBC-DCDC interface & its impact.
• Functional & Diagnostic Testing of Electric Powertrain ECUs.
• Lead the commissioning of the HiL Hardware / Software.
• Coordinate with various stakeholders (internal and external).
• Ensure alignment & implement SW Testing timelines in line with Project Timelines.
• Lead cross functional activities & collaborate with leadership team as needed.
• Knowledge on Electric Vehicle System in HIL Validation (Electric Powertrain Integration).
• High Voltage System knowledge.

Requirements

• 2-6 years of experience in Software Validation of Electronic Control Units (ECUs).
• Extensive experience in automotive electronics/electrical hardware in loop (HiL) SW validation in an OEM or Tier-1/2 environment.
• Expertise in any of dSPACE / ETAS / Vector/ NI HiL Tool Chain.
• Good understanding of functionality of Electric Powertrain ECUs.
• Knowledge of Matlab/Simulink.
• Knowledge of CAN, UDS, CANoe, CAPL, INCA.
• Knowledge of Test Automation is an additional advantage (ECU Test Tool, Vtest Studio, Automation Desk etc.).
• Good experience of various quality standards & Test Practices.
