The Engineering Advisor is responsible for overseeing the application of shoring equipment, including hydraulic system designs and technical shoring layouts, specifically for job sites such as trenching and excavation. In this role, the Advisor must understand, analyze, and categorize customer issues in collaboration with the sales team to recommend the safest and most cost-effective solutions. This includes providing on-site installation and technical support, reading blueprints to advise customers on the best installation methods, and advising project managers and the sales team on formulating installation project plans. The Advisor will assess construction phases, job situations, and project conditions to time customer approaches and suggest rental product applications effectively. Additionally, the Engineering Advisor will discuss customer needs, suggest suitable equipment for various applications, and serve as a key information source for customers and the engineering team regarding available equipment and services in the local market. Responsibilities also include fleet inspection, ensuring timely reporting and completion of repairs, preparing job boxes with the correct rigging and materials, and maintaining equipment while managing customer charges for lost items. Effective communication with customers is essential for the timely execution of the Order Verification process, and the Advisor will also educate employees and customers on the safe and proper installation and use of protective systems. The role supports the engineering team with quality assurance and assists the estimating team with project schedules, budgets, and technical input as needed.
