About The Position

The Iowa Department of Transportation is offering an Engineering Intern position within the Project Management Bureau. Requirements

• Completion of at least two years in civil, construction, materials, or transportation engineering, or in an engineering management curriculum at an accredited four-year college or university with eligibility for junior status upon return to school.

Responsibilities

• Estimating engineering time and resources for highway and bridge projects.
• Maintaining schedules and information in project management software.
• Creating reports to illustrate project delays and cost increases.
• Reviewing invoices from engineering firms for compliance with contracts.
• Working directly with a team of engineers and project managers.
