About the position

The Regulatory and Compliance Engineering Manager at LG Electronics will oversee a team of engineers focused on supporting sales inquiries and developing product and application materials. This role involves ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations for various HVAC systems, including VRF systems and chillers. The manager will also be responsible for product support, application knowledge transfer, and promoting personnel growth within the team.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of Regulatory and Compliance Support Engineers.
• Support the sales team with regulatory and compliance inquiries.
• Develop product and application materials for HVAC systems.
• Identify strategic product needs and requirements for Product Management.
• Provide technical reviews for new and existing products and materials.
• Develop competitive product and application strategies.
• Support product compliance with DOE, AHRI, UL, and building codes.
• Create application materials for proper product application and knowledge transfer.
• Provide training to sales and representatives on product applications.
• Track industry developments and competitive products to align strategies.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent field.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in the US commercial and/or residential HVAC industry.
• Experience in technical product applications support.
• Successful history of interaction with factory R&D teams.
• Experience with heat pump systems.
• Experience as an Applications Engineer or related roles such as Consulting Engineer, Contracting, Sales, or Product Management.
• Management experience with direct reports.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in regulatory developments and testing standards.
• Familiarity with ASHRAE standards and presentations.
