Engineering Manager, Supply Mobilization Experience

About the position

DoorDash is seeking a talented Engineering Manager to lead our Supply Mobilization Experience team. This team is responsible for ensuring Dashers are in the right place at the right time to meet demand efficiently. This team builds intelligent systems that optimize Dasher mobilization, minimize wait times, and enhance overall marketplace efficiency. We leverage machine learning, real-time data, and incentive strategies to dynamically mobilize Dashers, helping them maximize earnings while ensuring customers receive seamless deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Build intelligent mobilization systems to ensure Dashers are optimally positioned to meet demand.
• Develop personalized incentives that drive Dasher engagement and efficiency.
• Leverage machine learning and real-time data to make predictive mobilization decisions.
• Define the platformization strategy for Supply Mobilization to create standardized experiences.
• Collaborate with Product, Operations, and Data Science teams to improve supply-demand balance.
• Lead, mentor, and scale a team of world-class engineers while fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation.
• Ensure Dashers earn higher, more predictable incomes by reducing downtime and increasing overall efficiency.

Requirements

• BS, M.S., or PhD. in Computer Science or related field
• 2+ years of engineering leadership experience as an EM managing backend, mobile & ML engineers
• 7+ years of industry experience
• Strong hands-on technical leader and strong product sense
• Experience navigating ambiguous business problems and tackling high-scale technical challenges
