Engineering Manager, Supply Strategy & Execution

About the position

DoorDash is seeking a talented Engineering Manager to lead our Supply Strategy & Execution team. Our goal is to create and execute the right supply strategy to improve Supply everywhere, bring incremental Supply-driven volume (GMV), while reducing spend. We are also responsible for ensuring Dashers stay busier and earn more. This central team is responsible for balancing the marketplace, building personalized mobilization levers for our Dashers.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of Machine Learning, backend and full stack engineers.
• Drive the technical vision, strategy, and execution of the team charter.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to create personalized levers to incentivize & mobilize Dashers.
• Curate the perfect Dasher Mobilization systems to elevate quality for customers and merchants.
• Guide the platformization strategy for the Supply Strategy & Execution team.
• Adopt and encourage cutting-edge Machine Learning systems.
• Scale the team by growing internal talent and attracting world-class talent.
• Collaborate with partner teams to evangelize the adoption of latest Supply platforms.

Requirements

• BS, M.S., or PhD. in Computer Science or related field.
• 2+ years of engineering leadership experience as an EM managing ML, backend & web engineers.
• 7+ years of industry experience.
• Strong hands-on technical leader with a strong product sense.
• Ability to navigate ambiguous business problems and tackle high-scale technical challenges.
• Driven, focused, and quick to take ownership of work.
