About the position

The Engineering Project Manager for Water/Wastewater will lead the development of business relationships and project delivery for municipal water and wastewater clients in the Puget Sound Market. This leadership role focuses on building and growing the Water/Wastewater Practice, utilizing expertise in municipal engineering projects, including system planning, design, and regulatory coordination.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain business relationships with municipal water and wastewater clients.
  • Lead client teams and cross-business unit selling to generate new business opportunities.
  • Monitor project manager performance and client experience on projects.
  • Conduct client experience surveys and provide feedback to project managers.
  • Engage in project recovery and support collections as needed.
  • Coordinate with the Market Leader to identify and pursue project opportunities in the Water/Wastewater sector.
  • Make go/no-go decisions regarding project pursuits and staffing.
  • Manage client profitability, contract terms, and revenue forecasting.

Requirements

  • BS in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in environmental engineering or water/wastewater system analysis and design.
  • Registered Professional Engineer in Washington.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • 15+ years of experience in delivering water/wastewater engineering projects.
  • 5+ years in a business development role with clients in the Puget Sound market.

Nice-to-haves

  • 20+ years of experience in the field.
  • Experience working with local water/wastewater agencies and municipalities.
  • Experience with water and sewer master planning.
  • Familiarity with Washington water and wastewater codes and regulations.
  • Proficient in engineering software such as Civil3D, WaterGEMS, SewerGEMS, and Excel.
