About The Position

The Engineering Project Manager at ACS Professional Staffing will oversee and manage multiple projects from inception to completion, ensuring effective collaboration with senior management, stakeholders, and external entities. This role requires strong communication and coordination skills to facilitate project team meetings, draft project plans, and track project budgets, schedules, and risks while ensuring compliance with documentation standards.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in project management, particularly in engineering or technical projects.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills to liaise with teams, stakeholders, and external partners.
  • Familiarity with PMI-based project management methodology and best practices.
  • Experience with project management tools such as SharePoint and ProjectWise.

  • Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of budget tracking and resource allocation.

Responsibilities

  • Support and facilitate manager-assigned project or multiple projects from beginning to end in collaboration with senior management, external industry entities, and stakeholders.
  • Actively engage with the business to understand needs, identify dependencies, project expectations, milestones, resources, and assist the manager in deploying solutions.
  • Identify and request necessary subject matter experts needed during the project.
  • Coordinate activities for manager-assigned projects to accomplish goals within prescribed time frames and funding parameters, escalating concerns as needed.
  • Facilitate 'kick-off' meetings with sponsors, stakeholders, and partners to validate project plans and resource commitments.
  • Schedule and facilitate project team meetings and coordinate activities of sub-teams.
  • Provide recommendations regarding project expectations, approach, roadmaps, work plans, deliverables, and goals.
  • Draft project plans, resource strategies, and funding estimates required to advance each assigned project.
  • Facilitate project postmortems and create recommendations reports to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
  • Provide project management coordination and assistance to Senior or other group PMs as requested, including project tracking and document management.
  • Serve as POC and resource for SharePoint and ProjectWise for project documentation.
  • Assist with work plan management and resource coordination.
  • Coordinate with Field Supervisors, Project Managers, Design Engineers, District Foreman, and other personnel to develop logic-driven updates to schedules for transmission projects.
  • Monitor milestones, schedule, and budget to keep projects on track and on budget.
