In this role, you will provide essential engineering technical support for the Consumables Manufacturing Areas as a member of the Consumables Manufacturing Engineering Team. Your expertise will be crucial in developing and implementing operational solutions in a regulated environment, utilizing your strong troubleshooting and electro-mechanical skills. You will work with various systems, including Production Equipment Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs), and support production equipment such as robotics, vision systems, barcode readers, sensors, and motion control systems. As an Engineering Technician, you will be responsible for supporting project activities and collaborating effectively with multiple functions within the organization. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for this role, as you will need to convey technical information clearly and work as part of a team to balance multiple priorities. Your contributions will help ensure that our manufacturing processes run smoothly and efficiently, ultimately leading to better healthcare outcomes for patients. This position requires a 2-year associate's degree in a technical area, along with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a related industry. You will need to demonstrate good interpersonal skills and the ability to thrive in a team environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PPT) is required, and knowledge of 3D CAD design software (Solidworks or NX) is important. Experience with mechanical support, hands-on equipment assembly, troubleshooting, and repair of complex electro-mechanical systems is desirable. Additionally, familiarity with industrial process control systems design and documentation using tools such as AutoCAD Electrical and Microsoft Visio is beneficial. Your working knowledge of Lean business systems and methodologies will also be an asset in this role.
