About the position

The Engineering Technician position at Staffmark involves working with a leading medical manufacturing company in Woodstock, CT. The role focuses on troubleshooting and maintaining electronic components, PCBAs, and systems, contributing to over 80 years of industry innovation. The technician will be responsible for hands-on tasks, including soldering and using various test equipment, while also ensuring effective communication and teamwork in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Strong knowledge and troubleshooting experience with electronic components and their functions.
• Proficiency in hand soldering fine pitch surface mount components.
• Experience in assembling, installing, repairing, and maintaining electronic components, PCBAs, and systems.
• Ability to read and understand wiring diagrams, circuit schematics, and mechanical drawings.
• Experience using test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and function generators.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and diagnostic PC software, with inventory control skills for electronic components and tools.

Requirements

• Associate degree with 5 years of experience or 7+ years in electronics work.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and computer skills.
• Experience with SolidWorks and knowledge of manufacturing/engineering processes.
• Must be detail-oriented and an effective communicator.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize workload, and work well in a team.
• Ability to work under pressure and plan workload efficiently.

Nice-to-haves

• Preferred certification in IPC-A-610 and IPC-A-620.
• Quick learner with strong organizational skills.
