About the position

The Enrichment Teacher is responsible for implementing a project-based learning curriculum and complementary academic enrichment activities for the Summer Enrichment Program. This role involves developing and executing a project-based learning (PBL) curriculum and creating a PBL calendar for the program. Participation in evaluation efforts for the afterschool program is also required, along with maintaining accurate program records such as attendance and snacks. The Enrichment Teacher will report to the site supervisor, project director, and the Afterschool Advisory Board. They will work with staff to enhance opportunities for students in the afterschool program to learn and practice new English Language Arts (ELA) and 21st Century skills. Promoting the afterschool program and fostering cooperation between in-school and afterschool programs is essential. Additional responsibilities include addressing program-related needs, providing auxiliary services such as preparing and presenting materials to students, facilitating the afterschool food program, attending monthly curriculum training, and working with the parent engagement facilitator to organize parent engagement activities.
