About the position

The Technical Agile Coach at Worldpay is responsible for leading Agile transformation initiatives within the organization, enhancing Agile practices, and mentoring teams to improve their performance. This role combines technical expertise with Agile knowledge to foster a culture of continuous improvement and drive successful implementation of Agile methodologies across both technical and non-technical teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage Agile transformation initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Provide hands-on coaching and mentorship to Agile teams, Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and leadership.
  • Develop and deliver training programs on Agile methodologies, frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, DevOps, etc.), and technical best practices.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by implementing feedback loops, retrospectives, and metrics to measure progress.
  • Offer technical expertise in software development practices, DevOps, Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), and other technical areas.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and address Agile adoption challenges, ensuring smooth transition and acceptance.
  • Advise on the use of Agile tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello) and practices (e.g., user stories, backlog refinement) to enhance team productivity.
  • Act as a change agent to help shift the organizational culture towards Agile values and principles.
  • Introduce and standardize best practices in Agile development, testing, and delivery processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years in software development, with at least 8 years in Agile coaching or leadership roles.
  • Proven experience in leading Agile transformations in large and complex environments.
  • Certifications: Certified Agile Coach (ICP-ACC, ICP-ATF), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), SAFe Program Consultant (SPC), or equivalent.
  • Strong technical background with experience in software engineering, DevOps, and modern development practices.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Deep understanding of various Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, LeSS) and their practical application.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and infrastructure as code.
  • Experience with Agile metrics and analytics to drive decisions and improvements.
  • Understanding of organizational behavior and change management principles.
