About the position

Year Up is a one-year or less, intensive job training program designed to equip young adults with the necessary skills to thrive in the professional world. This program combines in-classroom skill development with access to internships and job placement services, along with personalized coaching and mentorship. Participants in the Year Up program will not only gain technical skills but also professional business and communication skills that are essential in today’s job market. The program is structured to provide a comprehensive learning experience that prepares individuals for various roles in the IT industry. Throughout the program, participants will engage in in-depth classes covering a range of topics including Application Development & Support, Banking & Customer Success, Desktop Support, Project Management Support, and Data Analytics. This diverse curriculum is designed to cater to the evolving needs of the industry and ensure that graduates are well-prepared for their future careers. Additionally, students who secure internships during the program will earn an educational stipend of $525 per week, providing financial support while they gain valuable work experience. Year Up is committed to helping its participants succeed, with 80% of graduates finding employment or enrolling in postsecondary education within four months of completing the program. This role is ideal for motivated individuals aged 18-29 who are eager to learn and grow in a supportive environment, making it a perfect stepping stone for launching a successful career in technology.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in in-depth classes to develop technical and professional skills.
  • Engage in internships with leading organizations in the California Bay Area.
  • Receive personalized coaching and mentorship throughout the program.
  • Build a professional resume and develop interviewing and networking skills.
  • Complete coursework that may be eligible for college credit.

Requirements

  • Must be between 18-29 years old.
  • High school graduate or GED recipient.
  • Eligible to work in the U.S.
  • Available Monday-Friday throughout the duration of the program.
  • Highly motivated to learn technical and professional skills.
  • Must not have obtained a Bachelor's degree.
