About the position

Campers Inn RV is seeking an Entry Level RV Technician for their Macon-Byron location. This position is designed for individuals eager to learn the skills necessary to become a proficient RV Technician. The role involves assisting in the diagnosis, inspection, adjustments, and repairs of recreational vehicles, including travel trailers. The company offers an in-house technician training program, providing valuable on-the-job skills and free basic tools after 12 months of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and machinery.
  • Assist in inspecting and testing for defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions.
  • Inspect and verify dimensions and clearances of parts to fit the unit.
  • Assist in repairing and maintaining plumbing, electrical, and/or HVAC components.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Valid Driver's license and good driving record is required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
  • Ability to use a variety of hand tools and power tools.
  • Ability to comply with OSHA regulations regarding Protective Clothing and Equipment, such as goggles, gloves, etc.
  • Ability to safely use solvents and other chemicals.
  • Ability to move RVs of various sizes.
  • Ability to organize various physical tasks through adjusting, climbing ladders, connecting, lifting, pulling, pushing, or bending.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to reach above shoulders and lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
