About the position

The Environmental Analyst 2 position at the State of Connecticut's Department of Public Health involves developing and managing an Alternative Treatment Systems (ATS) program aimed at improving wastewater management in Connecticut. This role supports the state's housing development goals and addresses environmental challenges in underserved areas. Responsibilities

• Develop licensure requirements for AT system installers and operators in conjunction with the Environmental Practitioner Licensure Program.
• Manage a data tracking system for AT system compliance.
• Coordinate with the Environmental Practitioner Licensure Program for training and certification of local health officials.
• Oversee enforcement matters related to AT systems.

Requirements

• Six (6) years of experience involving technical analysis and interpretation of environmental program data or planning and implementing environmental programs.
• Knowledge of principles and practices in fields relative to environmental protection.
• Knowledge of local, state and federal laws, statutes, regulations and policies pertaining to environmental protection.
