About The Position

The Environmental Engineering Intern at Novelis will support the Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) team in developing and implementing sustainability initiatives. This role focuses on conducting research on environmental policies and regulations, analyzing air pollution control technologies, and creating a matrix of pollution controls by plant effectiveness. The intern will contribute to Novelis' commitment to environmental sustainability and innovation in the aluminum industry.

Requirements

• Pursuing a degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field
• Strong research and analytical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Nice To Haves

• Previous internship or work experience in an environmental or sustainability role
• Familiarity with environmental regulations and sustainability best practices
• Experience with data analysis and report writing
• Strong interest in environmental sustainability
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerBI

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and implementation of environmental sustainability initiatives
• Conduct research on environmental policies and regulations
• Collect, assemble, and analyze air pollution control equipment and technologies
• Assemble results of emissions sampling
• Create a matrix of pollution controls by plant with effectiveness
• Participate in team meetings and provide updates on project progress
• Collaborate with other departments to collect environmental information
