About the position

The EP Mapping Specialist II at Boston Scientific plays a crucial role in the Cardiology team, focusing on the Electrophysiology (EP) market. This position involves providing expert clinical product and technical assistance to physicians and EP Lab staff, ensuring the effective and safe use of Boston Scientific's Rhythmia Mapping System. The role requires maintaining advanced clinical knowledge of various EP technologies and involves extensive training and professional development to prepare for success in a hands-on, field-based environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain advanced clinical knowledge of EP diagnostic and ablation technologies, EP mapping and recording systems, and transeptal access technologies.
  • Attend procedures in cardiac CV/EP labs for clinical support and development of BSC AF Solutions products.
  • Educate customers on the merits and proper clinical usage of AF Solutions products through presentations and demonstrations.
  • Meet with existing and potential customers to identify their clinical needs and demonstrate how company products can help achieve their goals.
  • Develop relationships with hospital personnel at all levels to facilitate future sales.
  • Respond to customer needs and complaints by developing creative solutions or collaborating with related personnel.
  • Demonstrate effective change leadership and build strategic partnerships within the organization.
  • Implement and monitor strategies outlined by the quarterly plan of action for the area.
  • Coordinate efforts with BSC sales management and representatives to build strategic partnerships.
  • Develop relationships with key referring physicians and other key stakeholders to promote market development.
  • Manage clinical trial activity within the assigned territory, including Interest Visits and Site Initiation Visits.
  • Educate clinical investigators on clinical trial protocols and investigational products.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 2 years of industry experience in medical device sales, clinical electrophysiology, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Demonstrate technical aptitude and ability to discuss complex technical product information.

Nice-to-haves

  • NASPE/IBHRE CEPS certification.
  • Work experience in Atrial Fibrillation/Cardiac Mapping/Structural Heart procedures.
  • Existing usage of 3D cardiac mapping system.
  • MS or advanced degree in business or healthcare.
