About the position

The Equity Research Associate - REITs position at Morgan Stanley involves conducting in-depth research and analysis of Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs) to support investment decisions. The role requires building financial models, analyzing macroeconomic and microeconomic conditions, and communicating findings through research notes and reports. The associate will work closely with the REITs Research team to provide insights that help clients navigate investment opportunities in the real estate sector.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth research and analysis of REITs and related sectors.
• Build and maintain financial models using Excel to evaluate investment opportunities.
• Write and present equity research notes and industry reports.
• Communicate analysis and investment recommendations to clients and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with team members to discuss findings and strategies.

Requirements

• 2+ years of professional experience in Equity Research, preferably within the REITs sector.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial modeling.
• Strong writing skills for crafting research notes and reports.
• Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint for presentations.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing situations.
• Strong attention to detail.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in the Real Estate sector or REITs is a plus.
• Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation is a plus.
